Investigating the Polarization Tensor to Describe and Identify Metallic Objects

چکیده
This paper presents a few properties of the polarization tensor for conducting and magnetic objects to describe and classify the objects. In order to achieve this, the polarization tensor of the objects are numerically determined by the previous hp-FEM method. We then focus on the polarization tensor for magnetic but non-conducting objects. After that, the polarization tensor for translated and rotated objects are discussed. Finally, this paper also highlights the polarization tensor for a few threat and non-threat objects which might appear in metal detection for security screening and landmine clearance.

Active Lighting Applied to 3D Reconstruction of Specular Metallic Surfaces by Polarization Imaging
In the field of industrial vision, the three-dimensional inspection of highly reflective metallic objects is still a delicate task. This paper deals with a new automated 3D inspection system based on polarization analysis. We first present an extension of the ‘Shape from Polarization’ method for dielectric to metallic surfaces. Then, we describe a new way of solving the ambiguity concerning the...
متن کاملThe Thermodynamic Properties of Polarized Metallic Nanowire in the Presence of Magnetic Field
In this article, the second quantization method has been used to investigate some thermodynamic properties of spin-polarized metallic nanowire in the presence of magnetic field at zero temperature. We have been observed that in different magnetic field, the equilibrium energy of system increases as the density increases. The spin-polarization parameter corresponding to the equilibrium state of ...

In many cases it may be thought, corrosion products cover the unique characteristics of ancient metal objects that are desirable to display. While the scientific point of view, the corrosion products as well as metal substrates are important and maintain the original topography of metal that have been replaced. In technical studies of the historical metal objects, the dense layers of corrosion ...

Introduction: Foreign Body Aspiration (FBA) represents a life-threatening emergency .It occurs primarily in children below 3 years. Generally, the most common aspirated FB is organic material such as nuts or beans. Sharp Foreign Bodies (FBs) are of particular concern to the attending clinician, because of their potential to perforate the air passage and cause possible complications. Here in, we...
